Hyde Park Bank

Investment Real Estate Loan Processing Center, New Construction

This 2,700 square foot bank facility is located on a narrow lot in an industrial area on Chicago’s north side. The building needed to serve two major functions: provide office space for mortgage financing and serve as an off-site data processing center.

The location provides retail presence for a bank that is known mainly on the south side. The contemporary two-story building has private offices on the first floor and open office space above. The interior is designed to be inviting, professional and personable. An exterior mural and custom interior wallpapers use patterns of numbers to represent how developers transform commercial loans into architecture. Within the building a four foot wide atrium separates the building core from work areas, and skylights increase the amount of daylight in the 150 foot long space. Bamboo grows in the front atrium, which also serves as the vestibule, to buffer street noise and increase privacy.
